Departing from their fantastic talents with Cabernet, this 100% Merlot offering from Yountville's Kapcsandy is a delightfully ripe and bold wine. Inky, dark, Pomerol-esque: this powerful 2015 vintage comes in with full force, dark plums, blackberry compote, chocolate, aniseed, cloves, tobacco, truffles, and earth, with notably rounded tannins and a great balance of acidity.

The 2019 Roberta's Reserve is another stunning wine from Kapcsándy. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, cloves, licorice and leather all race across the palate. In 2019, the Roberta's is a bit richer than it usually is, but that works just fine in amplifying all of its natural beauty. All of the fruit was sourced from one of the original blocks planted by Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer in 2002. 2027-2039
