Louis Jadot's 'Le Chapitre' is brilliant and clean Marsannay, widely hailed as one of the top crus in the Côte de Nuits. Its location at the base of the hills results in a steady flow of minerals seeping into the soil, providing exceptional balance. It is complex, and rigidly structured, with violets, blackcurrants, cherries, and gentle minerality in the finish. With great ageing potential, this wine is great now with an hour's decant, or can age gracefully for years to come.

An even mid purple, with a very elegant perfume nonetheless, super-sensual on the palate up to a slightly firmer finish. A little less volume than some wines, but a fine balance. Drink from 2027-2031.
