Turley, 'Hayne Vineyard' Petite Syrah 2021

One of the most exciting wines on offer from Turley, and one of founder Larry Turley's personal favourites. Despite being known primarily for their Zinfandels, this Petite Sirah (or 'Syrah' for them) garners a lot of attention from critics and casuals alike; it hails from the first site ever acquired by Turley, and is responsible for their love of Napa's diverse terroir. Bold and coating tannins, balanced mid-acidity, definitive of Petite Sirah. On the nose and palate: deep, dark, inky and intense blackberry abounds, accented with copious currants, pine wood, dried lavender, crushed flowers, fresh leather, wet rock, and it has a very long finish laced with cacao nibs and powder.
